2010 Participating Great Highland Pipe Bands
( See Schedule )
- Southern Indiana Pipes and Drums
- Southern Indiana Pipes and Drums emerged in 2005, as a band of Merry Pipers and Drummers from the scattered corners of Indiana (and beyond). One of the largest bagpipe bands in the region, the active membership includes over 30 individuals ranging in age from 7 to 78 and in experience from fresh beginner to competition grade piper.
- Fountain Trust Pipe Band
- The Fountain Trust Pipe Band is based in Northwest Indiana. Its members
are drawn from various parts of Indiana including Indianapolis, Lafayette,
Bloomington and Terre Haute, as well as from Western Illinois. The
band is partially sponsored by a Wabash Valley bank called the Fountain
Trust - based in Covington, Indiana. The band is made up of both Pipe
and Drum Corps players that are not only keen to teach and encourage
new members, but also to "stretch" existing members by entering
in prestigious competitions at various Scottish Games around the country.
Twice a year professional teachers are flown from New York State to
assist in teaching the band members - both new and old - in a fun environment,
which improves the skill and proficiency, on an individual level, in
a professional manner. Band members attend workshops, private lessons
and seminars around the country, both together and independently, to
share with all in the band.

- Indiana Caledonia Pipe Band
- The Indiana Caledonia Pipe Band was formed in 2004 and is located in the Indianapolis area. The founders of the band wanted to provide an opportunity for pipers and drummers of central Indiana to prepare for and participate in Pipe Band Competitions across the Mid-West and East Coast regions.
- Murat Highlanders
- Formed in 1949, the Murat Highlanders have been entertaining crowds, large and small, for over a half century. The Highlanders have never entered the very serious world of competition pipe bands, opting instead to remain a parade and performance band. The band remains dedicated to pleasing the crowds we play to, maintaining the Celtic pipe traditions, promoting the worthy philanthropy of the North American Shrine, enhancing fraternal fellowship, and having some judicious fun along the way.
- Fort Wayne Scottish Pipes and Drums
- Founded in 1986, the Fort Wayne Scottish Pipes and Drums is a competition bagpipe and drum band based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. By drawing on the knowledge and talents of our members we are able to share the music and culture of Scotland with the people of our community. The band performs at different parades and Highland Games throughout the midwest and is the host band for the Indiana Highland Games held the second full week-end of June.
- Cincinnati Caledonian Pipes and Drums
- The Cincinnati Caledonian Pipes and Drums is one of the oldest pipebands in the US. The band was formed in 1912 by Scottish Imigrents. After WWI a number of vets joined the band and they took on the McKenzie tartan and Regimental hatbadge of the Seaforth McKenzie Highland Regiment. The band is the the official pipeband of Cincinnati and the offical pipeband for Clan McKenzie's Eastern Region.
Best Band Award
A 'Best Band' plaque will be awarded each day. The award is sponsored by Celtic Corner .
